The Garden District (1977)

Samurai that places large stones in his garden
Places great shame upon the people of his district
They shout and proclaim furious words
Against his ruling power and his corrupted government

It is not large stones that represent greatest power
One must always remember that by a strange coincidence
Larger stones do exist.

Flowers adorn his garden and vines climb his paper house
People come to see his miniature paradise and amaze themselves
With its prospects.
Especially do they revel at the centerpiece that takes much space
In the center
They wonder if large stones hide secrets in and around them

A wind is at sea and a rain lies off the coast of your district
Watch the trees carefully and the distant sky
In a few days the large stone will reveal its secret
For as you observe your flattened paper house and drowned flowers
You great samurai will find only a large stone sitting alone in your once beautiful garden
